Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page

St Catherine's Hospice is an amazing charity that needs to raise £16,000.00 a day just to run.  We would like to help support them by completing this challenge and really need your help to raise a pretty challenging total!

Sooo...what are we going to do to earn it?

The Challenge: A five-day trek far off the beaten track and into the remote hills of Northern Vietnam in the Pù Luông Nature Reserve area, passing through remote villages and staying at different local stilt house communal accommodation.

Why your donations mean so much.....St Catherine’s Hospice team of Community Nurses visit people at home. We offer home care from 8am to 8pm and each patients visit is tailored to their personal circumstance. Community Nurses can be doing anything from giving advice, to bathing a patient or making cups of tea. Our nurses also provide a listening ear, ready to help support those who need it through any concerns or issues. Just having someone to ask questions, or to share a conversation with, can mean the world to someone with a terminal illness during this difficult time.

Your sponsorship money will enable St Catherine’s Community Nurses to visit patients in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. For every day we trek in Vietnam, you will be paying for five hours of care for a patient in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their own home.

Anything you can donate would mean so much and we would really appreciate your help.

Thank you

Heather & Kelly
