We support those with life-limiting illness to live well so their families can live on

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Arthur Rank Hospice is dedicated to providing specialist palliative care and support to adult patients and their family, friends and carers and is the only adult hospice within Cambridgeshire.

It really is an amazing place and supports many people during what can be a very difficult period of their lives. The staff are incredible and very caring and the volunteers who give their time are true inspirations!

During 2015 the  hospice  has become independent and have embarked on building a new 24-bed facility  which will be an exemplar in hospice design and  will offer patients a more spacious, attractive and therapeutic environment!

So what better time to tackle a challenge to raise funds for this amazing cause!  The challenge will be between 17th -23rd March 2016 in the Moroccan Sahara covering 70km across sand dunes.

The trek is a real challenge ; not only walking  in the desert where  temperatures range  from 0 to 40 degrees each day but also the mental challenge of being away from friends and family for the week (as well as not being able to log on to social media J )
