Story

As a lot of you know I have a background in swimming. I have swum since I was 8 and have made nationals on six occassions. I took a 7 month break from swimming, then returned February last year to train and compete as a masters swimmer. I successfully won a silver medal in the 400 IM at the masters nationals last year. Swimming is a part of my life and have made some great friends and have had fantastic memories and experiences from participating in it.

Unfortunately, last year my mum was diagonsed with Type 2 Diabetes. Therefore, I really wanted to raise money for Diabetes UK and searched events on their website. I stumbled across the Swim 22 challenge (swimming the equivalent length of the English Channel in your local pool). I thought I could put my swimming skills to good use for a good cause.

The money which is raised could make a difference to my mum and all of the Diabetes sufferers in the UK. The money which is donated could help with care/support,research, campaigns and the prevention of Diabetes.

Please join me on my journey and please sponsor me by donating on this page. Thank you for your time and consideration.
