Every year I watch the London Marathon and feel inspired by the thousands of people who take part. And every year I resolve to sign up myself, and maybe try to beat my Dad's time when he ran it, many moons ago. I still remember going to see him run with the rest of my family, and as usual, being inspired.

But a couple of years ago he had an accident whilst cycling to work and broke his neck, rendering him tetraplegic and confined to a wheelchair. Aspire were there to help pick up the pieces, supporting him and our family during his rehabilitation at the London Spinal Injuries Centre at Stanmore RNOH.

So finding myself in a position to be able to run the marathon, knowing how easy it is to be robbed of that ability, I'd like to run in support of Aspire, who support those whose lives have changed in an instant.
