We fund research and provide support to improve blood cancer patients' lives
Story
Hi Everyone! My name is Rachel I am 19 years old and this May I will be running my first half marathon in Edinburgh. I was diagnosed with AML - Acute Myloid Leukaemia when I was 17 in October 2012. During my treatment I spent months in isolation. I was put in remission in November 2012 and released from hospital in March 2013. Whilst I was in hospital I wrote a blog feel free to have a lwee browse!
I have chosen the charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma research as I know too many young people who have suffered from the disease and lost their lives because of it. Leukemia and Lymphoma Research focus on improving diagnosis, funding clinical trials for new treatments and personalizing treatments for patients.
We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.
