The fundraiser is on behalf of the Northern Centre for Cancer care and it is a personal event that is close to my heart. My father was diagnosed with advanced mouth cancer 2 weeks before Christmas 2013 and has recently finished his treatment with the NCCC and we are awaiting the results.

The work that the staff do is second to none but it relies hugely on the support and generosity of the general public to provide a life saving service to so many and with 1 in 3 of us to be diagnosed with such a devastating disease the work they do is so vital to so many families.

Whatever the outcome of his treatment my dad wants to thank the NCCC in the best way he can by donating money to provide the unit with more life saving equipment in the hope of saving the life of someone else.
