One of London's most unique charity events takes place each year when a convoy of iconic London black cabs take over 200 children on a three-day trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Resort Paris. These children all suffer from a range of chronic debilitating illnesses and life limiting conditions, the Magical Taxi Tour has bought moments of great joy and happiness to thousands of children over the past 20 years.

This amazing convoy, which is often over three miles long when on the move, consists of over a hundred licensed London cabs, plus City of London Police and Gendarmerie Nationale motorcycle outriders, London Ambulance NHS Trust vehicles and AA breakdown trucks

 

Organised annually by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, this event is only possible with the help of our wonderful sponsors, fundraisers, and an army of volunteers who generously help raise the £1,400 per taxi necessary to meet the expenses of hotel, fuel, food, admission charges etc. The taxi drivers naturally give freely of their time and the use of their vehicles.

Sadly, many of the youngsters who have come to Disney are no longer with us, but with your help we are all determined to give more children this once in a lifetime opportunity.

 SOME AMAZING FACTS

To date 2200 taxis have taken almost 4400 children to Disneyland.

Nearly 55000 gallons of diesel have been used on the trips.

If one cab had taken everyone on all the trips it would havetravelled well over half a million miles.

When travelling at speed last year's convoy, at times, was over three miles long
