Last year I spent 6 weeks volunteering at Forever Angels Baby Home in Mwanza, Tanzania. Ever since, I have been desperate to return and raise more money for what really is an incredible charity, that is now so close to my heart. Therefore, on 20th February 2016, I will begin an attempt to summit Kilimanjaro as a fundraiser, before spending the next three months volunteering at the Baby Home. Please note that the trip and climb have been entirely funded by myself, so all donations you make through this page will go directly to Forever Angels

Forever Angels was set up as an interim care home in 2006 for orphaned and abandoned babies aged 0-5. Since then, the Baby Home has cared for almost 300 children, with the primary aim of providing love and care with eventual reintegration into their extended families. Approximately 60 children are in care at any one time, whilst several outreach programmes are constantly working in the local community  help affected families.

I would like to add that I am embarking upon this climb in memory of my dear friend Lorraine Campbell. She had dedicated her life to volunteering at Forever Angels, and sadly passed away during the summer of 2015. She was an inspiration to us all, and I know her strength will carry me up the mountain.
