We want to live in a world free from slavery

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are supporting Hope for Justice by:

Walking around around Rydal Water on a Saturday in September date (TBC) (walk in July was postponed due to inclement weather) support of anti-slavery charity Hope for Justice. Every year the charity, which identifies and helps more than one slave a week in the UK, sets its supporters an epic challenge.

“We call this the Zoe* Challenge in honour of one of the first girls we rescued, but this year we were inspired by a man we’ve helped named Edward*. Not many people realise that men are kept as slaves in our country too and their suffering is just as serious”, said Hope for Justice CEO, Ben Cooley.

(*Names changed to protect identities)

So this July, we joining other supporters by doing walks up and down the country with the aim of walking a total of 12,416 miles - the distance from the North to the South Pole - and raising £125,000 to fund their specialist investigators, lawyers and aftercare staff.
