Story

Last year I completed the GNR to help raise awareness for the Sick Children's Trust, and the support we had (me and and our Luke, my youngest brother) was incredible.  Thanks to you, we raised over £1000!! Although we'll never be able to pay back the debt owed, it felt great helping the charity to support other families with seriously ill children during those horrible times.

This year, I'm running the race again to help more families cope when their children are seriously ill, but I'm conscious about asking the same people to donate to the same cause - even though it's for such a great cause, it feels almost rude.  The difficulty is, I'm rather competitive (haha), and so raising less money than last year isn't an option - plus I have less time to raise the money (only two months!) till the race, so I could really, really, REALLY do with your support this year.

After seeing a few of the little kids last year at the SCT, it really hits home how important this is - every single penny counts.

About the charity

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.
