1000 miles - 10 countries - 10 days · 20 June 2015

The RAF Benevolent Fund is the RAF's leading welfare charity. We have been there for all members of the RAF Family for over 100 years. Last year we assisted more than 70,000 members of the RAF Family. Support us in 2025 and help us reach even more members of the RAF Family.

Story

As the title above alludes to, we are going to cycle 1000 miles through 10 countries in 10 days. We are planning to carry this feat out between 21 - 30 June 2015.

The team consists of Squadron Leaders Jamie Norris, Andrew Shaw and Paul L'Abbate; all serving Royal Air Force Officers.

The route begins in the UK and will see us pass through France, Belgium, Holland, Luxembourg, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia before finishing in Austria.

We will ascend a total of over 50,000ft and burn over 60,000 calories over the 10 days. This should help us fit into the obligatory lycra attire!

We have decided to raise money for the RAF Benevolent Fund. This amazing charity supports serving and ex-serving RAF personnel and their families. Please follow the link on the right to see the incredible work that the RAFBF do.
