I am trekking the Great Wall of China to raise funds for Maggie's Cancer Care Center in Nottingham. I have spent most of 2014 having treatment for Breast Cancer, which has resulted in a mix of experiences, emotions and challenges. The care I have received has been brilliant but I have found that the only place I have been offered a cup of tea, time and space to talk, where a friendly face asks how I am feeling, is Maggie's. And there is always cake on the table! This is my way of giving something back to Maggie's to thank them for the time, care and support they have given me over the last year. 

I've learnt a lot over the last few years about how important life is and how we need to make the most of each day. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and I have never challenged myself like this before! I need to get myself some walking boots and get seriously fit as this is 6 days of trekking, in hilly terrain, up to 6 hours each day........your love, luck and support in achieving this and raising money for Maggies will be what gets me through!!
