Refugee Action provides direct support to people seeking safety in the UK, as well as campaigning for their rights. Our vision is that refugees and people seeking asylum will be welcome in the UK. They will get justice, live free of poverty and be able to successfully rebuild their lives.

Story

We've all seen the pictures. People running from persecution, war and poverty and literally dying at the last hurdle. People desperately escaping from war zones and travelling across continents in search of a little bit of empathy and help, only to be shut out and denied that by border patrols, hostile communities and even governments who should be taking them in and assisting them in rebuilding their lives.
I'll be attempting to get to Bristol on my bike, along the Kennet and Avon cycle path. I aim to do this in a day and on my own in a show of solidarity with all the refugees who are making much tougher journeys with their children in tow, fleeing from war and being greeted with hostility when they should be welcomed.
Thanks for visiting and reading my terrible attempt at sincerity. Please donate. 500 quid should be doable.
