Story
I am raising money for Royal Marsden Hospital because they were brilliant treating my Father-in-law who had cancer, dragging him back into the land of the living through persistence, amazingness, dedication - and some cheeky little Sunday rule breaking. They understood the power of the mind, and didn't give up at a time when hopelessness was giving hope a big old bash on the head.
We all know the stats: every two minutes in the UK someone is diagnosed with cancer. Money raised for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity goes into research, diagnosis and treatment; and it has been behind some brilliant drug developments in recent years. In a world where cancer doctors are having their job made incredibly difficult thanks to the proposed cuts to the Cancer Drugs Fund, charities such as this are not nice-to-haves, they're need-to-haves.
