We are a geology club for children to help them learn about rocks and fossils

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year, 16 members of ESE are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in aid of Rockwatch.

Rockwatch is the nationwide club for young geologists; amongst other things, they (principally volunteers) organise trips to sites of geological interest, publish short books for teachers on geological sciences and, most excitingly perhaps, take rock and fossil specimens to schools in the ‘Rock Bus’. Basically, they are trying to encourage kids to become engaged with geosciences from an early age and they typically exist on small hand-outs from the Geological Society. The money we raise would go towards funding fieldtrips (which we all know are fun and great learning opportunities), and their thrice-yearly magazine.

Please support this very worthy charity - every little helps!
