The Bluebell Railway has successfully raised over 50% of the funds required to extend the platform canopy on platform 1 at Sheffield Park station, providing much needed shelter for passengers and visitors. This together with new valancing and rainwater drainage, will create a full-length canopy which will be faithful to the original LBSCR structure, which was removed in the 1940's - and which will match the newly extended canopy on platform 2.

The great news is that work has now begun, and we have now built the first part of the new structure - but we will not be able to complete the extension, and provide a brand new roof for the whole canopy unless we can reach our final funding goal.
