So, my ambitions for personal challenge seem only to have grown over the years. I have been thinking of taking on a long distance walking challenge for a while and decided (as usual) to throw myself in at the deep end. I have decided to walk the length of the UK, but take a few detours along the way.
The plan is to take in some amazing sites in a country that I have not explored enough of, so the route will encompass a good number of (or portions of) long distance paths and national trails including the cape wrath trail, Hadrian's wall, the mountainous spine of Wales (Snowdonia, the Elan valley and the Beacons) and the south west coast path.
As always I thought my personal ambition and suffering may as well be used to raise money towards a great cause as well as acting as a whip at my back at hard times remembering the good that will be done with the donations. I have chosen water aid as I can see no better cause than that of fulfilling the most basic of requirement for life.
Thanks in advance for the support,
Tom
