Story
After what has been an ordeal, I have been given the all clear from the Royal Free Hospital to attempt climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in July 2016!
For those who don't know, in June 2015 I was given the opportunity to donate over half of my liver to my dad who had developed cancer due to extremely unlucky circumstances! Thankfully, so far, everything has gone brilliantly and we are both steadily progressing in our recovery. Lots of people aren't given the opportunity to help a loved one, and we couldn't be more grateful that we could!
So, with this, I have decided to raise as much as I can for the British Liver Trust, who are a small charity but are brilliant at promoting important issues regarding the liver. I will be paying for the trip myself, so all donations will be straight to BLT.

My brother wrote a brilliant blog about the process, emotions and risks involved with the live donation, its a really excellent read:-

The non-living organ donation register is extremely under subscribed, and it is extremely important to seriously consider registering! Here's the link if it is something you'd like to consider:-

Thank you!
