Mt Kilimanjaro for Gaza

Mt Kilimanjaro for Palestine · 15 August 2014
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Being half-Palestinian I feel I have a strong obligation to help those innocent people who have been suffering considerably over the many years and even more so now with this ongoing mindless violence.
The facts are clear: 1000 Palestinians have been killed including 200 children. 6000 have been injured (2,000 of them children) and more than 100,000 have been displaced.
I am climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro on August 15th and have decided to raise money for the established 'Medical Aid for Palestinians' charity. The charity has offices based in Beirut, Ramallah, Jerusalem and Gaza, where they can respond rapidly in times of crisis, working in partnership with local health providers and hospitals to address a wide range of health issues faced by the Palestinian people.
In Gaza, they have already delivered medicine and medical equipment to the hospitals that need them most and are currently getting more medicines into Gaza. The charity has already given out hygiene kits, mattresses and blankets to those displaced by the conflict as well as supporting the main blood bank in Gaza - giving them the items they need to run blood donation campaigns.
Their aid workers are working at the central drug store to ensure that medicines from various aid agencies and international donors are getting to the hospitals where they are needed most.
But they can only continue doing this if people donate. Thank you for all your all help. Every pound will make a difference in supporting the poor, innocent and exploited in Palestine and give them hope for a better opportunity and a better life.
Thank you for all your help!
