So I'm doing an Ironman Distance Triathlon!
2.4mi swim,
112mi bike race
26mi marathon
All in that order, without a break inbetween!
I'm also cycling the Prudential Ride London 100(mi) course for Macmillan too.
This whole thing started as a bit of a joke between work friends.. we signed up to the Nottingham Outlaw on the waiting list thinking - "We'll never get in".. a few months later.. it turns out we'd been accepted... !$%@!!
As I'll be doing the race anyway, some people suggested I might as well get some sponsorship for it - so Macmillan, obvious choice.
I've got the cycling nailed, with various 100mi cycling events under my belt (Etape du Cymru 2012, Action Medical 100 and even a Tour de France stage in the Pyrenees - Which is where the Macmillan photo is from! True Story!)
So now I'm in training 4-6 days a week for a Ironman distance triathlon...

To illistraite how hard this is, it's got a 17hour cut-off time for the entire race... I'm hoping to get around 12-14 hours for the entire day!
