Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Back Ground

Imani Grace Hannabuss was born 5 Nov 06 to the delight of me and my Wife Rachel, sadly  all was not well. From the 20wk scan we found out that she had fetal hydrops not many babies survive. Imani meaning (believe) passed away two days later 7 Nov 06. After the autopsy we then found out that Imani Grace Hannabuss died of a condition called Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a very rare condition.

Aim to my epic journey

As this is a very rare condition and for the love and support of the Neonatal unit at the Jessops wing in Sheffield, i feel that i need to help others that  find themselves in a similar situation, with regards to research and maybe find out what caused the condition how it might be treated IF POSSIBLE ! nothing could be worse than losing a loved one, let alone not knowing or ever finding out why!

On the 22 july 07 i am starting my Walk of the Pennine way to rise money for the Jessops wing (Neonatal Unit 1151) 256 miles. I have set out 3 weeks to do this, but when i get to Kirk Yetholm i'm turning round to walk back!!!! in total 506 miles. I will be doing this with all that i need on my back in a burgen, out under the stars each night fully self supported.

So please sponsor me now! help a little one with new equipment/ research and care.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sheffield Hospitals Charitable Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
