Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've had some funky heart surgery - mechanical aortic valve fitted (carbon and titanium!) plus repaired mitral valve (there's some bovine tissue in me .....mooooo) plus replacement parts in my aorta (Kevlar - sadly i'm not bulletproof though ;-) )

So I thought rather than sitting on my harris making excuses i'd take my new hardware and test it out a little ........ 48 miles on a bike should be enough of test.......... plus at least several hundred miles of training (Just so I don't come in last - although I wouldn't really mind - it's for a good cause after all).

Most of you that visit this page will know me personally and a few brave souls may venture here from the forums I frequent and but regardless of our association I thank you for your donation - I don't mind if it's 5p, 50p or £50 - every penny counts and goes to a massively worthy cause.
